Bardiya group wins the election of Jewellers Association
Jewellers Association, the biggest association of jewellers of Jaipur had their election for 2010-12 and elected their new executive committee. In the elections, Shri Nirmal Bardiya and his supporters were declared the winners. 8 members of Bardiya group and 4 members of Shri Pramod Derewala group won the elections.
Election officer CA Shri S.R. Sharma told that this is the first time in the history of Jewellers Association, that the number of candidates was so high approximately 2238 votes were casted. The jewellers of Jaipur have actively participated to make sure the right candidates are in the committee to decide the future of Jaipur jewellery industry. Among the winners, Shri Nirmal Bardiya got 1739, Shri Arun Gokhroo got 1079, Shri Rajesh Dhamani got 1251, Shri Sanjay Kala got 1137 votes, Shri Dilip Godika got 1084, Shri Pramod Kumar Lodha got 1063, Shrimati Namrata Ghiya got 1061 votes and Shri Vijay Kishan Jajoo got 959 votes. In the Derewala group, Shri Pramod Derewala got 1062 votes; Shri Anil Bumb received 1052 votes, and Shri Ashok Kumar Singhi got 948 votes.
